Tomorrow I fly home. A great reward of weight loss has been easier travel. No longer needing a seat-belt extension was a huge milestone.
Of course, travel can be very stressful… and the food choices in the airport are generally abominable. The sleep disruption (getting up at 3a for 6a flight; “red eye” flights; time changes) contributes to overeating, particularly of bad (high sugar/fat/salt) foods.
Therefore, as they taught me at Structure House, I prepare and bring my food with me. Apples and green tea ride me over between meals.
