I eat 1/2 -1 lbs of green veggies at each lunch and dinner.  There’s no way a plate of lettuce weighs that much.  I almost always cook my veggies – it’s hard to eat that much raw vegetable, though some folks do.  I add a TEAspoon of olive oil, and season with garlic, onions, basil, etc.  (And I usually add my hot sauce – it makes one eat less AND burn more calories).

But beware the salad bar!  It’s full of cheese, dressing (fat-free dressing = sugar), bacon…
