Tip #6: Eat breakfast everyday

I eat breakfast everyday; see p 4 of my newsletter for my eating plan.  I make it the night before, so I can jet out in the AM.

People mistakenly think they should not eat to lose weight… starve themselves in the morning… then pig out at night.

I eat oatmeal every day (whole grains are healthy), but not instant oatmeal.  I add protein powder (an egg can do for others) – protein satisfies longer.  Skim milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and a teaspoon of dried fruit (cherries for me; no added sugar; read labels) round things out.  Be careful of yogurt – most has tons of sugar added to the “fruit” at the bottom. Agave sweetener is just fructose, and is not recommended. I use cinnamon and cocoa for flavor instead.

  1. This looks like a great idea! But what I made tasted like crap. I’m not sure of the protein powder oatmeal ratio. Is your protein powder flavored? Can I use something like Tuvia to sweeten?

    Do you have an exact recipe you follow for your breakfast oatmeal?

  2. I use 2/3 cups oatmeal; 2 scoops protein powder; 1 tablespoon cinnamon; 1 tablespoon pure cocoa; 1 scoop dried fruit (unsweetened); 8 oz skim milk. I get taste from cinnamon/cocoa. I don’t add sweeteners.
