I believe it is very difficult to lose weight eating in restaurants or eating prepared food.
I am suspicious of “low fat” or “weight loss” foods. Often, they’re loaded with sugar (which may be worse than fat) and salt. 100 cal packages of cookies – give me a break! The sugar will have you back for more in no time.
I save time in cooking and shopping by:
- Buying in bulk and freezing meat/fish/chicken in zip-lock bags for 1 meal
- Eating canned wild salmon and sardines (I often travel with these – no cooking needed)
- Buying frozen green veggies (I eat 1/2 – 1 lb of green veggies for each lunch and dinner)
