Kevin Smith Loses 65 Pounds after getting kicked off Southwest flight

Remember the internet controversy about a year ago when actor/writer/producer Kevin Smith was kicked off a Southwest flight because he allegedly violated the company’s “Customer of Size policy?” Well he’s dropped 65 pounds since then.

Too bad I can’t find anywhere where he mentions what he did to lose the weight.  Still, the experience of getting kicked off a plane may have motivated Smith to lose weight, but he’s clearly still bitter about it, as this interview on the Joy Behar Show clearly demonstrates. Smith talks about the media coverage surrounding the incident and dressing his new body, among other things.

Despite shedding all those pounds, Smith said, he will never be skinny. “I sympathize far more with heavier people than I ever will with thin; I’ll never be thin,” he told Behar. “Let’s be honest: I’ve lost 65 pounds, but nobody’s going, ‘I want to sleep with you!’ They’re just like ‘Keep going; you look better.'” He added, “Sometimes a fat dude has a lot to offer, if you can just get past the blubber.”

In addition to getting kicked off the plane, Smith also broke a toilet before losing this weight.  I can relate; I broke a chair in the restaurant in NYC’s Rockefeller Plaza while watching the skaters.
