Kids who are overweight or obese are more likely to have hypertension (high blood pressure), says an article in the American Journal of Hypertension. The kids studied were only 5 to 11 years old!
How to limit overweight/obesity in kids?
- Less screen time, more play time – make kids “earn” screen time with active time
- Limit sodas and juice boxes
- Avoid fast food restaurants
- Eat family sit-down meals
