How are those New Year’s resolutions coming along?! Here is a reminder of tips to keep you on the wagon:

Tip #1: Review your week’s schedule

Tip #2: Take a multivitamin every day

Tip #3: Record everything you eat for a week – cellphone camera makes it easy

Tip #4: Be active at work – standing desk; walking meetings; take the stairs

Tip #5: Measure and record

Tip #6: Eat breakfast everyday

Tip #7: Join a program if you can

Tip #8: Triple vegetable intake, but beware the salad bar

Tip #9: Use spices and herbs, not fat/sugar/salt to add taste

Tip #10: Even 30 min/wk of leisure time exercise reduces heart attack risk

Tip #11: Wear a belt

Tip #12: Drink water, not soda. Eat fruit but don’t drink juice

Tip #13: Cook in advance; travel with food

Tip #14: Find non-food stress relief/release. Music works for me

Tip #15: Explain your goals to people; don’t be ashamed

Tip #16: Eat before grocery shopping; shop with a list; shop the store periphery
