Healthy mustard greens!

Greens do not have to have “fatback” in them. Or smoked turkey (full of salt and fatty skin).
These greens were nuked (10 min in my weak microwave in a covered glass dish)with 1 TEAspoon olive oil, basil, and Costco (Kirkland) no-salt organic seasoning.
A can of salmon (in water; no salt) and 1/2 cup of brown rice were added.

2 Comments:

  1. Did you nuke the salmon and brown rice together with the greens, or did you prepare these separately?

  2. Salmon was canned and not cooked – merely heated.
Brown rice made separately in microwave = timing is very variable, I’ve learned, based on the strength of the oven. I made the rice with nothing added other than water.
Greens made separately in covered pyrex microwave bowl for 10-12 min (my microwave is weak), 1 TEAspoon of olive oil, basil, garlic, dried onion, balsalmic vinegar.
