Getting exercise doesn’t have to mean going to the gym. I’m fortunate enough to have a small gym in my large apartment bldg. So, at first, I thought I’d go to the gym. But I was feeling lazy. So I decided instead to walk outside first as a “warm up,” dressed warmly and appropriately. As I headed out the door, I realized I’d forgotten to give a friend some important photos (old school, glossy paper ones!) So, instead of driving there, I walked – 3 miles round trip.
Getting outside for 20 min a day helps your body produce vitamin D, which may help prevent diabetes and obesity. Walking in nature helps to calm the mind.
