Cooking with tomatoes

I often add a tomato to my green veggies, and nuke them with 1 teaspoon olive oil, Costco no-salt seasoning, basil, dried onion, and basalmic vinegar (not vinaGRETTE).

But if you buy most tomato sauces, they have added sugar, salt, and a lot more oil than I use.
