I love cherries… I allow myself cherries and oysters (raw; half-shell; not fried! no remoulade sauce!) in unlimited quantities as my treats.
The cherry season is winding down, and I see I’m up 4 lbs. Damn! That happened last year, too, but the lbs went away once the cherries disappeared from the store shelves 🙂
The other day, I bought 5 lbs of cherries. Because of my bad neck, rather than carry them, I strapped the bag around my waist with my fanny pack, and walked home.
Interestingly… I noticed the difference walking with an additional 5 lb load – I was a little slower. Think how much 125 extra lbs slowed me down! I’m thankful for the lighter load I have these days.
PS: Tip for the day… If you can, walk to the grocery store; remember push carts?
